オシャンティーとはおオシャレをスタイリッシュに言った若者言葉。意味自体はお洒落と同意である。
若者言葉の中で○○な人を指す時に「○○ティー」と付ける場合がある。例えば、地元民を「ジモティー」と呼んだりする。オシャンティーもこれを活用したものであると考えられる。
（オシャレな人→オシャレ＋ティー→オシャンティー）
また、オシャレな人だけでなく、スタイリッシュなモノにも「オシャンティー」と使うこともある。

I totally agree that 「オシャンティー」should be avoided by males of all ages, but I’ve heard my fiance (23) and her friends use it quite frequently. Given this is just a small group, I can’t say that I disagree that it is mostly used by 10 year-old girls (I’m sure it is), but I don’t know if I would limit it to such a young group. My fiance and her friends are probably just trying to be cute, anyway. It might even vary by region (I’m in Kansai). Just something to think about. Thanks for the great posts!
Hey Philip! Thanks for the comment. That’s interesting to hear of your young fiancee using the word. I think the message to take home is that, depending on the generation, use of this word could be considered uncool or perhaps even rude in some circumstances. But certainly, in a group where everyone is on the same wavelength, age doesn’t matter in the slightest :).
